03 May Creative Writing Competition – Imagine
We are inviting any willing children to take part in the exciting annual writing competition for Crouch End Festival! The theme is ‘Imagine’, and all you have to do is write a short story, poem, play, song or piece of descriptive writing on that theme. If you would like to illustrate your piece, that would be fantastic.
We are asking for anything up to a maximum word count, depending on age. Please see details below:
- Reception – 100 words
- Year 1/2 – 200 words
- Year 3/4 – 300 words
- Year 5/6 – 400 words
Reception children might like to tell a story, and ask a grown up to scribe.
All entries must be the child’s own work. The finished entries should be word processed and also marked on the back with your name, class and school.
Entries should be handed to Ms Munro by Thursday 24th May, and will be judged by Pickled Pepper Books.
- First prize – £20 book voucher
- Second prize – £10 Book voucher
- All winners will be published in a small anthology.
Please do start writing and show us what you can do!
Any queries, please contact Ms Munro.
