This week our lunchtime dance club, which is run by Jess Keen, went to the New Theatre, Wimbledon to perform alongside around 30 other London schools in the regional heats of the Great Big Dance Off. This annual event is the only national dance competition for primary schools in the country and it continues to grow in popularity every year.
After being successful in the video round, 18 lucky Coleridge children from years 4 – 6 had the opportunity to perform on stage in this beautiful theatre. The competition was very tough and although we did not make it through to the final, the children did themselves, and Coleridge, proud! The children also had the opportunity to watch the other schools perform which was both enjoyable and inspiring. Here are a few photos from our dance entitled ‘Rainbow Riot’.
