31 Mar Whole School Song Competition
After weeks of rehearsing in their year groups, all the children at Coleridge got together in our big hall on the afternoon of Thursday 30th March for a very exciting singing event. Each year group from Nursery to Year 6 had been preparing a song to perform to the whole school and a panel of four judges. The aim of the competition was to choose a Coleridge School Song.
Standards were high and performances included harmonies, dance moves, solo singers and even beatboxing! The judges had a tough job, but Year 3’s rendition of “If You Want to Sing Out, Sing Out” by Cat Stevens won them over to gain first prize. Year 1 were runners up with “Count On Me” by Bruno Mars.
