09 Jun Apps For Good – Voting Now Open!
Coleridge is delighted to announce that a group of year six children have reached the final of the prestigious Apps for Good competition. Bea, Fizzy, Joss, Leila and Mia from 6I, have designed an app called ‘Changes’, which allows children and teenagers to get helpful advice about puberty, without the embarrassment of having to asking others. Their idea was selected from thousands of entries and, along with two other successful groups, the girls have been asked to make another pitch to a group of leading tech experts at the final of the competition on June 20th. If they win, then their app will be created and released for download.
You can see the girl’s original elevator pitch here:
In addition to a vote cast by tech experts on the day, there is also a public vote. You can help the girls to win their category and make their app a reality by voting for them. Voting is now open, so please go to this link http://www.appsforgood.org/public/awards/2016/peoples-choice and vote for ‘Changes’ by clicking on the icon.
Well done to the girls, this is a fantastic achievement and we wish them the very best of luck at the final. We think the app is a great idea, and if you agree, then please vote for them!
