20 Mar Coronavirus Update – Remote Learning
Whilst the school is closed, we will be providing resources and activities to support your child’s learning at home.
These resources, which have been written by your child’s class teacher, will be uploaded to the school website every Friday evening by 6pm. They can be found on the Learning tab, under Remote Learning – you can also click this link.
In preparing these resources, we have had to account for the fact that many parents will be busy working from home and may not have lots of time to support their children in daily learning. For this reason, many of the activities, particularly those aimed at older children, can be completed independently by the child, or with minimal adult guidance.
As some parents will have children of different ages at home, we have also included some projects and activities which span the age range so that siblings can work on these together and support one another in their learning.
We have also given consideration to the fact that many families may not have access to multiple devices and have therefore limited the number of online learning tasks. Most activities can either be printed off, or completed without the use of a computer or tablet.
At present, there is no facility to upload completed tasks so that they can be marked by the class teacher, but we encourage all children to keep their work in a folder, to be brought back into school when we re-open.
Please try to complete as much of the work as possible given your current family circumstances.
Yours sincerely,
Leon Choueke
