29 May Don’t stop singing, Coleridge
Getting together and singing our hearts out is one of the many wonderful things we do at Coleridge. Whether it’s Year 1 and 2 children singing in their classes to start off their day, the hall filled up and echoing with a singing assembly, or the Junior Choir preparing harmonies for a performance, the sound of Coleridge children singing together never fails to bring a smile to everyone’s face.
We may not have been able to gather together in one room over the last couple of months, but we were determined not to let that stop us making a big joyful sound.
Over 120 Coleridge children, family members and staff filmed themselves singing, dancing, playing both air and real guitar and even DJing. Children from Nursery through to Year 6 took part, either on their own, in family groups or (in Ms Creamer’s case) together with their dog.
It has been a huge job mixing together all the voices and editing the video, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work of the parent volunteers who helped us produce the video. A big thank-you to them, and to all the children, parents, siblings, staff and pets who took part. ‘Don’t Stop’, everyone!
