30 Jun Final Push for London Youth Games
Thank you so much for your entries in Week 3 of the LYG Virtual Games! We have loved seeing your challenge attempts and look forward to seeing you take on the next set of challenges!
The Virtual Games leader board was updated on Friday and unfortunately Haringey have dropped to 8th place. We are not disheartened, however, and we are more determined to have even more children from Coleridge support our borough and get us back up that leader board! This is the final week of the LYG Virtual Games so every entry is valuable points for Haringey.
The Challenge Videos for Week 4 are up now on the London Youth Games website and social media channels. Here are links to download the Challenge Sheets, which include coaching tips and suggested adaptations for space, equipment, and ability.
Monday 29th June : Target Batting Cricket Challenge
Tuesday 30th June : Throwing Accuracy Boccia Challenge
Wednesday 1st July : Wall Ball Water Polo Challenge
Like all great sporting events, the LYG Virtual Games will end with a relay. To celebrate the final week, they have added the 1 Mile Relay Challenge as a bonus event to run alongside the three weekly challenges – check the London Youth Games website for full details.
We still want to see your challenge attempts. Share videos on social media tagging our school accounts or by using #ThisIsLYG for a chance to win London Youth Games weekly MVP award. Each week a MVP will be selected based on the ability, creativity and style shown in their video and they will receive a brand new pair of Nike trainers. Children must have parental permission before sharing any content with us on social media.
We recommend you send your challenge attempts using www.wetransfer.com to pe@coleridgeprimary.net by 4pm Thursday 2nd of July. In the message box please put: the child’s full name, their class as well as the number of completed attempts per challenge. The scores will then be inputted onto a scorecard and sent back to LYG. Alternatively you can enter directly through the website.
Let’s have one final push for Team Haringey!
