A few weeks ago, Year 5 visited the Verulamium Museum in St Albans as part of our Classics learning this year. The trip had been generously subsidised by the Classical Association.
We were all very excited to see the remains of a real Roman town in Britain and visited various sites including the Roman Theatre and the Hypocaust. We also had an object handling session and were able to hold real artefacts that belonged to the Romans in Britain, including perfume bottles, cooking utensils and brooches.
