In science, Year 5 are learning about space. We have been looking at the planets in our Solar System. We made a model of our Solar System using different sized balls to represent the eight planets, from a peppercorn for the smallest planet, Mercury, to a basketball for the gas giant Jupiter. We used toilet roll to help us show the distance, to scale, between each planet and our sun.
