At the end of last half term, our school was buzzing with excitement as we welcomed 27 students from the International Chatterbox School in Cagliari, Sardinia. This Italian exchange programme has provided a unique opportunity for cultural exchange and collaboration and has enriched the educational experience for both our children and their Italian counterparts.
Throughout the week, the Italian students have participated in various classes, joining in on lessons ranging from PE to Art. They have even been able to take part in some Coleridge highlights, such as Forest School in Year 4 and the mind-blowing Year 5 Science Show on Forces!
Teachers and children alike have reported that the exchange has been incredibly rewarding, promoting friendship and understanding across borders. As the week comes to a close, our visitors have shared heartfelt farewells, promising to keep in touch and continue the friendships they’ve formed.
We look forward to more opportunities for cultural exchange in the future and thank everyone involved for making this week a memorable experience for all.
