Year 6 were lucky to take part in an assembly led by Jordana Finkel, an award-winning art director, whose most recent film was Barbie. With over 20 years’ experience in the film industry, Jo has worked on many of the largest studio movies made here in the UK, including Harry Potter, Star Wars, Batman and the Marvel series. She is currently working on the film version of the musical Wicked.

As Art Director, Jo is the architect of the film sets, designing and overseeing huge set builds, collaborating and problem solving, turning an idea into a physical space to film in. The children were fascinated by Jo’s sketches, stories and 3D models and had lots of brilliant and insightful questions for her.
