Each year, our Deputy Head, Ben Strange, brings his passion for science to life for our Year Five children by running an interactive, inspiring, and joyfully chaotic science show. The session is packed with amazing, spellbinding experiments based around the theme of forces. From surprising demonstrations to hands-on moments that get the whole hall buzzing, Ben’s show never fails to capture imaginations.

The grand finale has become something of a Coleridge legend: Ben lying on a skateboard, wearing his trademark streamlined hat, and propelling himself across the school hall using a fire extinguisher!
