Who are Coleridge Families?
Coleridge Families is the beating heart of our school community. As our Parent/carer Staff Association (PSA), Coleridge Families’ work makes a real difference to the life of the school, enhancing our children’s experiences, supporting their learning and helping to make Coleridge warm, inclusive and full of opportunity.
Every parent and carer is automatically a member, and together we support the school in practical and inspiring ways: running fun community events for our families, raising money, organising volunteers and using our links with local businesses to bring in discounts, donations and sponsorship. We help spark new ideas and improvements. We always listen to the whole community, so our events and projects feel welcoming and inclusive. Above all, we help Coleridge stay a lively, valued part of our local community and of London, celebrating the stories, successes and spirit that make our school special.
How do I join?
Every parent or carer of a child at Coleridge and all staff are automatically members of Coleridge Families. This means we do not charge a fee or require sign-up! We hold six meetings per year (one each half term) and our November meeting is our Annual General Meeting.
Each meeting covers news, event and activity planning, discussion of requests and ideas and the minutes are available on this site. Your Class Rep will distribute information about opportunities to volunteer in between.
How can I get involved?
Coleridge Families is run by a Committee of parent volunteers, but anyone can get involved – we’d love to hear from you. Please check our ParentHub channel (instructions how to find this here), private Facebook group, or public Instagram account for information about upcoming events and activities, or email the Chair directly with any questions or ideas at ColeridgeFamilies@gmail.com.
Professional skills and personal hobbies can all be helpful in various capacities and we always need spare pairs of hands to help out. There are many tasks that can be done remotely too, so please get in touch and we can find something that works for you, your schedule and your interests!
