Rise of The Machines in Year 5

1 May 2025

Over the last half term Year 5 have been learning all about how to design and create Steampunk Robots, having been inspired by the artist Nemo Gould. They used a variety of found materials to create robust armatures (structures). They tested strengthening different types of joins using wire, cable ties, glue guns and masking tape.

Finally, the children used dry brushing and sponging techniques to apply a rusty metallic paint effect. As you can see, they all have very different and unique personalities!
