Foodbank Aid Appeal – Can We Bank on You?

27 February 2024

At Coleridge, we work with Food Bank Aid to help support 31 North London foodbanks who support 20,000 people, over 5,000 of whom are children. On Sunday 25th and Monday 26th February they launched their ‘Can we bank on you?’ appeal. Every donation they received over the weekend will be doubled by their supporters.

Some members of our Newspaper Club recently took part in a promotional film highlighting the important work foodbanks do, and all the children at school decorated paper plates to help raise awareness of the appeal. Food Bank Aid reached their target of £1.25 million just ten minutes before the deadline on Monday night, so congratulations to them!

If you are able to, and would like to donate, their donations page is still open – www.charityextra.com/foodbankaid

We will also be having our regular food bank collection in the last week of term.
