22 Mar Junior Performance Choir Perform at Dementia Cafe
On Wednesday 15th March, our Junior Performance Choir walked from school down to the Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Café on Mayfield Road, where the local Alzheimer’s Society had asked us to go and perform some songs for them.
It was a sunny afternoon and we were performing by the windows of a conservatory so it was very hot, but the choir sang brilliantly and really impressed their audience, who clapped and cheered after every song. We had an email from them, saying:
“Thank you so much for attending our Dementia Café! The residents could not stop talking about it, as well as the staff. It would be great to have you back at the Café some point in the summer.
The attendees were in very high spirits after your visit! One commented that the singing was like a calming therapy for her. The other attendees said that the singing made them feel really joyful!”
