28 Feb Collection for HIVE Food Bank
The school council have decided to set up a food bank collection at school for people in need of healthy food. Most of us are lucky to afford a good amount of food, however many people in need are not as fortunate. We think it is a good idea because many people come here every day, which means it is more likely to collect a good amount of food. Around the school there will be posters, and leaflets will be given out to children reminding people to donate food to our collection point.
The food will be given to the HIVE food bank, which is in St Mary’s Church, Hornsey Rise. The Food Bank gives food to local people who are in need of it. You can find more information on their website, https://thehivefoodbank.com/.
The collection points will be next to the offices on East and West.
We are looking for long life food items, such as:
- Long life milk
- Sugar
- Long life fruit juice
- Tinned fruit
- Tinned meat
- Tinned tomatoes
- Tinned veg
- Tinned soup
- Rice
- Dry pasta
- Chocolate
The food bank also welcome donations of:
- Soap
- Toothbrushes

Please DO NOT donate fresh food, as it will go off.
