On Saturday 9th March, 15 children from the Coleridge Plastics Team helped out at the Crouch End Mass Unwrap event, outside Waitrose on Crouch End Broadway. The event was organised by Plastic-Free Crouch End, a local group trying to tackle the issue of single-use plastic in our area. The children helped shoppers to remove the excess plastic packaging from their groceries, whilst telling them about the work they have been doing at Coleridge.
The plastic has been brought to school, ready for the children to show the rest of the school in an assembly. It will help them to make a point about the unnecessary amount of plastic used in supermarkets and what we can do to reduce our impact.
