Last week, Year 2 watched a fantastic puppet performance called ‘Once Upon A Time In Haringey…’ which focused on themes of equality and diversity. The show was about a princess who loved telling jokes, but couldn’t find anyone to share them with. She travelled round Haringey to find someone, stopping at famous landmarks on the way.
The show was really interactive, with children able to think of different parts of the story. In the afternoon, children created their own shadow puppets which they then tested out with torches in a shadow puppet theatre.
