Reception’s Journey of Discovery

Last week RA visited The Discover Centre in Stratford. First we took part in an ‘Anansi the Spider’ storytelling workshop in a room full of colourful lights. We then explored the centre and enjoyed climbing, sliding, drawing, reading and playing with props.

After that, we got to make our very own story up. We created a story about a Dragon called Jack who had lost his fire breath. Fortunately, a Magician saved the day and gave Dragon Jack back his powers.

We ate our packed lunches before having a play outside, where we enjoyed more climbing, going down the fireman’s pole and playing instruments. By the end of the day we were very tired and sleepy, but we enjoyed our journey back to school on a double decker bus!
