On Tuesday morning, Year 2 arrived at school to find that their classrooms had travelled back in time to the Victorian era. Children came in and sat at their desks and were surprised to find their teachers were a little stricter than normal. The children worked on blackboards and were expected to practice writing out the alphabet, copying and reciting sums and completing a spelling test. In PE, the children completed drill exercises and participated in some schoolyard games. The classrooms were back to normal in the afternoon, but the children are looking forward to learning more about the Victorians in this term’s topic.
