This week, as part of our partnership with RedStart, 6P headed into the city centre to spend time in the offices of Pension Insurance Corporation with some of their staff. Each child was given ‘£500’ to begin with and then spent the day trying to ‘grow’ it. They took part in various games and activities which allowed them to either invest, save or earn money.
As well as having lots of fun, the children learnt lots about the importance of making sensible decisions with regards to money and about how and when to take measured risks too. The other Year 6 classes are now looking forward to taking part later this term!
