We are inviting you to take part in the Crouch End Festival Writing Competition…
Theme: ‘Both Sides’
The challenge: create a piece of writing inspired by the theme ‘Both Sides’
- Poem
- Short story
- Personal experience
- Descriptive writing
What other styles can you think of?
Be as creative as you like, as long as you stick to the theme ‘Both Sides’. Younger children can tell a story to an adult who can then scribe for them.
Rules of Entry:
- Must be word processed
- You are welcome to include illustrations
- No longer than 400 words (can be shorter)
- Clearly mark your entry with:
- Name
- Year group
- School
DEADLINE: Entries to Ms Munro by Thursday 16th May
How much to write:
- Reception – 100 words
- Y1-2 – 200 words
- Y3-4 – 300 words
- Y5-6 – 400 words
There will be prizes!
1st £25 book voucher
2nd £10 book voucher
Winners will also have their work published in a booklet which will go to all schools.
